Boti Falls: Twin Cascades in the Eastern Region

A straightforward guide to upper and lower Boti Falls, seasonal flow, and pairing your visit with the umbrella rock nearby.

Boti Falls near Huhunya in the Eastern Region is known for its twin cascades — the upper and lower falls — which local legend describes as male and female. When water levels are high, the two streams merge in a spectacular display.

The lower falls are a short walk from the visitor centre; the upper falls require a longer hike with steps. Rainy season (May–July) brings the strongest flow, while dry months still offer a pleasant forest walk and picnic spots.

Nearby umbrella rock is a popular add-on — a natural rock formation balanced over a clearing with views across the hills. Allow 3–4 hours on site including photos and rest time.
