Mole National Park in the Northern Region is Ghana's premier wildlife destination. Unlike East African safaris, Mole offers an intimate experience where elephants often come within metres of the viewing platform at the park headquarters.
The dry season (November to March) is the best time for wildlife viewing — animals congregate around water sources and vegetation is thinner, making sightings easier. The park offers walking safaris and vehicle tours, both led by armed rangers.
